Single sided PCB is the least sophisticated (and thereby least costly) of the PCB products. It means that conductive pattern is available only on one side of the insulating substrate and do not require plated through holes. FR4 is the typical based material of single sided PCBs, CEM1 or CEM3 may also used in order to lower the cost. The mould punching is a preferred method because it is faster and cheaper when making high volume single sided PCBs.
